Transforming lives one person at a time
HotsWots Digital has always been involved in giving back in some way to communities in need. For many years, we supported Wilkabaa School in Tanzania, Africa, by building and hosting their school website as well as sponsoring children to attend the school and get a good education.
On my last trip to Pakistan in 2022, I was fortunate enough to meet someone who has inspired us to now support an NGO in Pakistan. Community Services Program is run by an exceptional human being who used to lecture in Gender at one the universities there and now heads up this 'hands on', not-for-profit organisation. CSP aims at alleviating the sufferings of affected populations by delivering rapid, flexible, effective and timely humanitarian emergency response and building resilient communities. They do much to assist women and children in particular.
Education for girls in remote Kashmir
In 2022 we raised enough money to buy classroom furniture, books and uniforms for these gorgeous little girls at the Tine Girls Model School, Chirran, AJK, Kashmir while a new school is in the process of being built for them.
They live in a very remote part of Kashmir in the mountains (their village only accessible via a dirt road by 4 wheel drive) where there is no school for the little ones.

Devastating floods affect 35 million people
In 2022 much of Pakistan drowned. Torrential rains and rapidly melting glaciers left nearly a third of the country underwater. Over 1,000 people lost their lives, and millions lost their homes, livelihoods, livestock, and crops. Many will never recover. Pakistan produces less than 1 % of the world's carbon emissions but is among the top 10 countries most affected by climate change. It has faced flooding before, but nothing at this scale.
HotsWots Digital raised much needed funding to buy some basic food staples which were handed out to some of those affected in the Sindh Province.
Medical clinics for pregnant women
HotsWots Digital is now raising money for medical clinics and camps for pregnant women affected by the floods of 2022. Many now do not have access to any medical assistance at all. Experts fear an increase in infant mortality or health complications for mothers or children in a country with one of the highest maternal mortality rates in Asia.
Although we have raised some much needed funding for some clinics, a lot more is needed. These clinics provide the services of expert gynaecologists, nurses, testing facilities and medicines. They also check and treat any small children who are attending with their mothers.
